Description
The triquetra is a triangular figure composed of three interlaced arcs. The design can be found in 4th century Persian ceramics, 8th century Anglo-Saxon stonework and used in Asia via Buddhist influence. The triquetra, also known as a "trinity knot", is also used in Celtic knotwork, pagan (as a protective symbol) as well as Christian designs.
