About Us

Luvicy was the name of one of our partners' grand aunt who lived in France. Luvicy was a lovely and caring lady and she took care of our partner when she was little. She passed on about 15 years ago and our partner suggested this name in memory of her. We loved the name so much we didn't consider any others.

It began when 3 friends with an interest in art and fashion decided to produce their own gifts for family and friends. What began as a hobby turned into a part-time business. In just over a year, business grew rapidly due to interest from tourists who took back our creations to their home countries. They encouraged us to setup a website to make it easier for their friends and family to purchase our items.

The three of us still run this by ourselves so production is limited to less than a hundred units a month. We usually sell out before the month's end. There's only so much one artisan can produce. All items are completed by hand and our partner (and only artisan) is very picky about his creations. If we introduce new designs, we usually have to discontinue or temporarily put on hold older designs.

There's no production for a week in every month as our artisan embarks on his monthly journey around Asia to gain inspiration from both traditional crafts as well as trending, contemporary designs. We used to only produce original designs but we decided to expand our range due to numerous requests from our younger customers.
